I am going on my first trip out of the country. On December 31st, we will be traveling from Boston to San Pedro Sula Honduras. We are then taking a four hour bus trip, to Tegucigalpa. I am going with my whole family for my cousins wedding. When we are there we will be participating in a shoe drive, and delivering christmas presents to the people of Honduras. We will also be building two homes for two different families. I am in first grade and will keep my class up to date with my travels and experiences. I hope my class will find this blog site an easy way to see what I am doing and to ask me questions about my trip. I will be keeping a blog, so you can follow what we will be doing!!
HiAll I have limited internet time so I am trying to keep these short and will fill you all in with details later. Monday Mark and Lori are good friends with a boy named Melvin. On Monday we went to his village to deliver gifts. My family and I have been sending gifts to a boy named Christian for a few years and he lives in the same village as Melvin. We were able to deliver him gifts and meet him for the first time. We also went to another village to deliver gifts to a different family. Tuesday We delivered some more gifts to a different village and then we took a ride into the mountains and saw the oldest catholic church in Central America, Santa Lucia, it was built in the late 1400's. We also visited a small shopping village and got some gifts to bring home. It is called Valley of the Angels. Today I am visiting a village with my Uncle Donny and Uncle Mark and then to an orphange to deliver some supplies and play with the kids. My dad and mom are going hiking in the rain forest. It's about 70 - 80 degrees here, any snow at home???
